Tarun Jain is responsible for handling Business Development and Client Relations at our firm. He holds a B.Tech (Hons.) and M.S. in Computer Science from IIIT Hyderabad, one of the premier technology schools of the country. During his last entrepreneurial stint, he was the Co-Founder and Director at Fotolink, a mobile startup providing a platform to advertisers/publishers for adding interactivity to their print media. End users with the use of their camera cellphones could pull multimedia content straight from the print advertisements/articles by means of a simple one-click process. Fotolink raised an angel round of funding and successfully executed a nationwide campaign for PepsiCo. He was involved with the Business Development initiatives for Fotolink and was responsible for negotiating strategic relationships with various Telecom Aggregators in India.

He was a fully sponsored Research Scholar at IIIT and has publications in reputed conferences. His MS dissertation was in the area of Video Information Retrieval. He led the design and development of a distributed broadcast news video indexing system. He implemented various functionalities for the system like intelligent segmentation of news videos into scenes and stories, feature extraction and efficient indexing for IR, face video extraction for establishing hyper-links between videos, duplicate detection for advertisement removal, clustering of near-duplicate video clips for tracking stories of same theme across channels and time, innovative web interface enabling quick browsing and content based access to video content.

He excelled in academics and was placed in the Dean's List several times. He was an active participant in the student activities and played a major role in organizing University's annual cultural festival. He was also elected to the 3 member Campus Life Council. He reached the final international stage of the International Design Competition organized by IEEE Computer Society. He possesses good knowledge of LAMP technologies and is proficient with programming in C/C++. He has served as Teaching Assistant for courses like Data Structures and Advanced Problem Solving at IIIT Hyderabad.
